The Jian zhan teapot is made from original and natural clay mud and glaze from Jianyang, Fujian Province, China, and fired in the kiln for hours at a high temperature of 1300 degrees. Due to the high temperature in the kiln, the oxidization and reduction actions of iron atom in the glaze take place, various random patterns and colors are formed naturally at one time, without any artificial synthetic color glaze or painting, nor secondary glazing or secondary firing.
